Uncharted 4 than it was originally on the PS4 contains a multiplayer component that was made very popular in Uncharted 2 and has continued since then. the PS5 and Pc remasters for Uncharted 4 probably won’t have an online multiplayer component – at least it is the ESRB could say.
The news comes from the VGC website, which discovered the ESRB seems to classify Uncharted 4 of the Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves Collection as having “no interactive elements”. To the ESRBHowever, interactive elements involve interacting with players online Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: Legacy Lost are also classified both in terms of online interactions.
It seems like a confusing mess as to whether or not there will be multiplayer, but it’s worth noting that the more likely answer really is that they decided not to include multiplayer. While both Unexplored and The last of us certainly didn’t need any multiplayer modes, both benefited from it back then.
Now, however, these two games are older and may not have the same multiplayer appeal they once had, especially given the speed at which tastes for multiplayer experiences are now evolving and changing compared to when it was first released. That’s not to say they couldn’t be successful just to say the landscape is different than it used to be.
That’s all speculation, of course, but if it wasn’t there it wouldn’t be a shock that Sony would probably be more willing to invest naughty dogs Time to work on what’s next instead of server maintenance Uncharted 4 ‘ Multiplayer.
In any case, we’ll likely find out soon enough since Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves Collection should come on the market in early 2022.
