Trash Quest is a tough platformer with a retro vibe

If you like games that are so challenging you are tempted to throw your controller out the window, Garbage Quest can be one for your radar. Previously published on PC, a small number of user reviews is pretty positive as a short, fun, and challenging title.

Although it’s a “Metroidvania” it’s a small map (and the game is likely to have a cheap price too) that spawns at the same point every time you die. They’ll keep your goodies, however, so any tricky screen or boss encounter can be memorized and practiced well.

Progress in the game is automatically saved. There is only one spawn location that you will reappear every time you die. But any power-ups, skills, or shortcuts you’ve unlocked will remain.

It definitely looks like a title designed for patient gamers looking for a challenge – it’s coming to Switch eShop in December, with a final release date undoubtedly being announced soon.

One for the wish list?
