If you walk through the dining area of the luxurious First Class Trouble restaurant today, you may find that something looks different. One of the tables now has a reservation card, a small but important and permanent change.
When you think of First Class Trouble you probably associate it with all of the lying and devious it takes to win. After all, our slogan is: “Where cocktails last longer than friendships”. But to be honest, we’ve always thought of First Class Trouble as a game that brings players from all over the world together and creates a cool place for the community to hang out.
Little did we know that a romance was brewing aboard the Alithea.
We first met Adrianna and Henry when they announced their engagement to the First Class Trouble community on Discord. We were so touched by her story that we wasted little time contacting her for further details.
“Our story began when we met in the First Class Trouble lobby and immediately understood each other, or at least met with bottles of champagne,” said Adrianna. “We were lucky enough to have the next three games in the queue. After we found out how great we were at finding personoids and what a great team we were, we decided to exchange details! “
From then on it was a simple matter of pure chemistry.
“When I first texted, I immediately said he had a strange accent because he was from the UK and I was from the US. From that moment on I was sold! “
We’re pretty sure Henry isn’t exactly a personoid, but you can never be entirely sure. Fortunately for Adrianna, however, he hasn’t shown any real loyalty to CAIN … yet.
“We played First Class Trouble every day for three months, hung out, talked and fell in love. It wasn’t long before I flew to the UK and less than a week after I arrived we were happily engaged! We will get married on November 21, 2021. The happiest we’ve ever been thanks to our meeting at First Class Trouble, so we’d like to thank the team for making such a great game that works so well to bring people together! “
Upon hearing this, the developers at Invisible Walls immediately began brainstorming to honor the in-game story of Adrianna and Henry.
“How can you as a person, developer and artist not only feel happy that something that you have made brings people together like that? That has to be celebrated ”, said Niels Wetteberg, CEO of the developer Invisible Walls. “We wanted something that was available to the entire community and that would be considered a tribute ‘forever’. We had a couple of ideas, but none of them seemed to have the level of romance it takes to add something like this. The table on the restaurant level is now forever reserved for Adriana and Henry, and the wedding attire we created is now available in a DLC pack for anyone else who wants to celebrate love. “
Andreas Bech, Art & Design at Invisible Walls, was responsible for combining wedding fashion with the established era and the theme of First Class Trouble.
“There’s a lot of thought into every piece of content we make. Even if we have a lot of bizarre outfits in the game, every piece has to stay on schedule, ”said Andreas. “For example, we tried to design most of our dresses and suits with a high waist, which was quite characteristic of clothing of the time.”
And where do you turn for such specific inspiration?
“For the wedding dress and the tuxedo in particular, we were inspired by some special vintage designs, but wanted to add our own personal touch,” says Andreas. “So we added a red flower to the tuxedo and embroidered the dress to give it a more formal wedding look. And of course no wedding is complete without the rings! “
The story of Adrianna and Henry reminds us that video games are pretty great. They give us countless hours of engaging storytelling and satisfying gameplay mechanics to immerse ourselves in, but they also have the power to bring people together in ways that no other form of media can offer.
They can build meaningful friendships in real life and, in some cases, even help us find our soulmates. And for everyone else … well, that’s what the mute and block functions are for.
We are so happy to have met Adrianna and Henry and we are very excited to honor their story in First Class Trouble. The Wedding Pack DLC is now available for PS4 & PS5 and includes:
- Black suit (jacket, pants and shoes)
- White dress
- Golden ring
So put on your finest clothes and celebrate the union of two wonderful residents.
