The British hypercasual company Kwalee is expanding its activities in India | Pocket Gamer.biz

The British hypercasual games company Kwalee has expanded its activities in the UK and India, almost doubling its size.

Kwalee expanded its activities to India for the first time last year. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions, all work and recruitment had to be done remotely for several months.

The Bangalore studio currently has 60 employees, but with over 50 applications listed, the number of employees will double in the next few months.

In order to do justice to the rapidly growing team, Kwalee has secured additional office space in the city.

In addition, Kwalee has plans to invest $ 30 million in its newly established Indian studio over the next five years.

Double up, increase size

The Bangalore office expansion follows the recent expansion of the Leamington Spa Headquarters in the UK, which nearly doubled the office space.

“We are excited to expand our office space in India as part of our ongoing commitment to global growth,” said David Darling, CEO of Kwalee.

“It was great fun to meet the team personally in Bangalore for the first time and to get to know them even better. The team here has been instrumental in our successes since the studio was founded and it’s amazing to see the Bangalore team grow and influence. “

In the future, Kwalee will operate a hybrid work model of office and remote work at all locations.

The company’s newest title, Traffic Cop 3D, got off to a good start, reaching the top 10 on the casual game charts in 41 countries.
