Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender series casts three other characters, including Uncle Iroh

Netflix has found its live-action uncle, Iroh. The streaming service has three new members to fill its Avatar: The Last Airbender Series: Uncle Iroh, Gyatso and Commander Zhao.

Uncle Iroh, Prince Zuko’s mentor and one of User picture‘s most popular characters, is by Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Kim’s convenience). Meanwhile, Lim Kay Siu (Anna and the King) will play Gyatso, an aerial nomad monk who was Aang’s father figure. Finally, Ken Leung (Industry) will play Commander Zhao, an ambitious Fire National Officer who tries to get ahead as much as possible.

These three new actors will join previously announced performers Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai, Gordon Cormier as Aang, Katara as Kiawentiio, Dallas Liu as Prince Zuko and Sokka as Ian Ousley.

There is no release date for the live action User picture Show still, but Netflix announced that production of the show began this week in Vancouver and will use technology similar to that the Mandalorians to create an immersive and faster movie environment.
