The streets

It is very difficult to be adopted on the street. It’s best to keep practicing tricks, as this is the best way to get a passerby’s attention. If they discover you, you need to respond positively to them.

Attacking someone is a terrible way of getting them to adopt you. Instead, try to snuggle up to him and see what happens. If it looks like you’re being taken to the shelter, it’s usually better to just accept it and leave – you have a better chance of being adopted there.

Or, you can just age and hope someone will notice you.

The shelter

When you’re in the pound you want to do things pretty much the way you did on the street. Practice your tricks and try to get the attention of everyone who comes to the dog house.

When a person walks up to you, choose the most positive action from the list of options – licking the hand is usually a great way to get things done. Also use the alert option on the Activities tab. Basically, the more conspicuous you are, the more likely it is that you will be adopted.
