Naraka: Bladepoint’s new hero is Yueshan, a ferocious terracota warrior

IGN is proud to exclusively reveal that the next character from Naraka: Bladepoint is Yueshan, a hero based on Chinese history.

Yueshan’s design has its roots in the times of the warring states of China. Developer 24 Entertainment notes that he wears lamellar armor and is able to shoulder attacks on enemies to knock them over and land a punch while they’re stuck on the ground.

For his ultimate ability, Yueshan is able to transform into a terracotta warrior and use a huge, flaming halberd to knock down enemies. You can see him in action in the trailer above, where he cuts through enemies and leaves trails of fire with every swing of his polearm.

Yueshan joins the fight on Morus Island on November 10th as part of the new season appearing as Naraka: Bladepoint, which has sold 6 million copies worldwide. If you don’t have to get in just yet and this looks like your type of fight, Naraka: Bladepoint will be 30% off for a week, from November 11th to November 17th.

Naraka: Bladepoint – Yueshan character art

Those who already play in Naraka: Bladepoint will receive a cool and unusual gift as a thank you for their continued support: a replica of a historical dagger. 24 Entertainment has announced that it is partnering with the Art Museum of Chinese Ancient Weapons to restore the Equestrian Blade, a historic horse-headed dagger that can be traced back to the Western Zhou Dynasty. This short sword, a major exhibit at the Pingyao Wentaofang Ancient Weapon Museum, will then be recreated in-game and given to players as a gift.
