Elden Ring PS5 specs and five playable classes revealed

After a GameStop “leak” over the weekend, Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware have officially confirmed this Elden ring will support 4K and 60 frames-per-second alongside ray tracing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. A breakdown is as follows:

PS4

  • Maximum rResolution: up to 1920x1080P
  • Frame rate: Up to 30 FPS
  • HDR: Supported

PS4 Pro

  • Maximum resolution: up to 3200x1800P
  • Frame rate: up to 30 FPS
  • HDR: Supported

PS5

  • Maximum resolution: up to 3840x2160P
  • Frame rate: up to 60 FPS
  • HDR: Supported
  • Ray tracing (via patch): Supports

While the PS5 and Xbox Series X specs are the same, only Xbox consoles get full intergenerational compatibility Elden ring‘s memory data can be ported between both generations. On PlayStation platforms, you can transfer your data from the PS4 to the PS5 when you start Elden ring on the last generation, but it doesn’t work the other way around. In simple terms, once you start the game on PS5 and choose to play it on PS4, your game saves will not be carried over. Once you have ported your PS4 save to the PS5 and continued playing, you will no longer be able to take your progress back to the PS4. It’s all a one-way street.

Over on Twitter, the officer Elden ring Before the closed network test, Account also revealed five playable classes: Warrior, Enchanted Knight, Prophet, Champion and Bloody Wolf.

As a reminder, here is the network test plan:

North America

  • Nov. 12 from 3:00 am to 6:00 pm PT
  • Nov. 12 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. PT
  • November 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PT
  • November 14 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. PT
  • November 14 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. PT

Europe

  • November 12th from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. CET
  • November 13th from 4:00 to 7:00 CET
  • November 13th from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. CET
  • November 14th from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. CET
  • November 15th from 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. CET

Japan

  • November 12th from 8pm to 11pm JST
  • November 13th from 12:00 to 15:00 JST
  • November 13 from 4:00 am to 7:00 am JST
  • November 14th from 8pm to 11pm JST
  • November 15th from 12:00 to 15:00 JST
