Konami’s launch of eFootball 1.0 has been postponed until next year, and the mobile versions of it have apparently been postponed indefinitely.
This message comes from a new blog post from Konami that describes what’s going on with this iteration of eFootball. The team needs more time to develop the 1.0 update and fix bugs that are currently in the current “demo” version of the game, as Konami points out at this point, as reported by IGN.
“We would like to inform you that the update v1.0.0 for eFootball 2022, which is to be published on November 11, 2021, has been postponed to spring 2022”, it says in the blog post. “We would also like to announce the cancellation and automatic refund of the eFootball 2022 Premium Player Pack, which contains items that can only be used in the game after the v1.0.0 update.”
Konami says it has been working diligently to distribute an update that will bring new content to the game, including a new mode for the series where players “empower and play with an original team” and bring the mobile versions to market can. However, these mobile versions have apparently been postponed indefinitely.
“Unfortunately, we came to the conclusion that it would take more time to deliver the product with the quality that meets our users’ expectations and we decided to postpone delivery,” the blog post said.
In the meantime, Konami will be releasing v0.9.1 to “fix numerous bugs one at a time on each platform” starting today, and over time, it will continue to improve eFootball 2022 and update a later date.
