Knockout City is getting free new generation enhancements next week

Knockout City, EA’s wacky multiplayer dodgeball game, is one of the nicest surprises of 2021. The game is a riot and will be added to PlayStation Plus games in November after it has already appeared on Xbox Game Pass. If you enjoy tossing exploding balls into the faces of friends or strangers on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X / S, your matches are about to look and feel even better.

On November 2nd, new generation enhancements will be available for free on the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S versions of Knockout City. Players who purchased the game through Game Pass or PS Plus are also eligible for the upgrade. What are you getting? Here is the full breakdown below:

  • PlayStation 5: Native 4K at 60 FPS or 1440p (upscaled to 4K) at 120 FPS
  • Xbox Series X: Native 4K at 60 FPS or 1620p (upscaled to 4K) at 120 FPS
  • Xbox Series S: 1440p at 60FPS or 1080p at 120FPS

Performance and Quality mode options are displayed in the main menu. Developer Velen Studios has also improved the overall lighting of Knockout City and added effects like ball lights. High-fidelity textures are coming across the board, having even only appeared in the Series X and PC versions of the game.
