Nintendo Switch System Update 13.1.0 Now Live – Adds the Switch Online Expansion Pack

Nintendo has just released version 13.1.0 for the Switch. This is the first update since the OLED model was launched earlier this month.

According to Nintendo of Japan Customer care account on social media, This update must be downloaded in order to play the Switch Online ‘Expansion Pack’ with Nintendo 64 and Sega Mega Drive games. As usual, there are a number of stability improvements to improve the overall user experience.

The expansion pack update also adds support for the Nintendo 64 and Sega Mega Drive controllers and includes the Animal Crossing: Happy Home Paradise Expansion – but this won’t be available until next week on November 5th.

Ver. 13.1.0 (Released October 25, 2021)

– Added support for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
– General system stability improvements to improve the user experience.

  • 12 Month Family Pass – $ 79.99USD / € 69.99 / £ 59.99

Existing customers upgrading from a current standard NSO subscription will receive a “pro-rated discount based on the number of days remaining in your current membership”.
