The legendary game designer Suda51 – who just finished his work No more heroes 3 for the Switch – once again admitted how cool it would be to work with a company like Nintendo and reboot or recreate some of their older IPs.
Here’s exactly what he had to say during an interview with our friends at VGC:
“It would be really cool to be able to work on a reboot or remake of some of the older Nintendo IPs that have been around for a while, especially some of the ones that have been inactive for a long time. If I want to do something to really surprise all the players out there, I’d love to do it with Nintendo. “
As exciting as it all sounds, nothing is currently planned between the two parties:
“Here, too, I don’t have any specific plans at the moment, but of course I’m always open to working with Nintendo.”
In an interview with Nintendo Life last month, Suda51 said he would like to revive a lesser-known Nintendo classic and referred to it at the time The mysterious Murasame Castle:
“There’s actually one game I’ve thought about before, if I could make a Nintendo IP the way I wanted it, they say Nazo no Murasame Jō (The mysterious Murasame Castle). This was a game by Human, the company I started at before Grasshopper. I’ve always had a soft spot for this game and always had the feeling that I would like to come back and visit it again. “
And here’s a round-up of the above game that kind of explains why Suda thinks it would go so well with Grasshopper:
“The mysterious Murasame Castle, a literal translation of its original Japanese title Nazo no Murasame Jou, puts you in the role of Takamaru, a samurai apprentice who must defeat both an alien creature that has taken over the title castle and the daimyos of the neighboring one Castles corrupted by the power of the alien. “
If Suda could keep working any In a Nintendo game, Zelda would probably be number one, but “deep down” he knows that it wouldn’t be “okay” for him to make a Zelda game.
Which Nintendo IP do you think would be a good match for Suda51 and his team at Grasshopper Manufacture? Why not let Nintendo know in the comments below.
