Indie studio Kodo Linija’s Bloody Rally Show is an arcade-style top-down racer that was released on PC in 2020 and hits Switch on November 4th.
We say “studio”, but Kodo Linija is made up of solo developer Tomas Varaneckas, so this hyper-violent reality TV racer is actually a one-man show. The reveal trailer above gives a good idea of the bloody slaughter that comes with storming your way through the location and pushing forward, battling for position and tearing apart the competition in general. The game is set in a dystopian future (there is another) in which drivers everywhere battle for glory in a Mad Max-style (death) race for the delight of spectators.
The game includes a 4-player local multiplayer mode – a perfect fit for Switch – as well as a host of other features. Here is the list of key features from the official PR blurb, followed by some screenshots:
Buckle up for a story mode full of surprises: Drive fast and dirty to complete seasons, earn cash and XP, and get a place on the podium. Can you win your freedom and escape the Bloody Rally Show?
Motorsport’s Deadliest Cars: Choose from a range of cars inspired by the infamous and forbidden in real life Group B rally class. Upgrade and unlock new vehicles for an even more reckless ride!
Infinite number of rounds and courses: A mix of handcrafted and randomly generated racetracks means that there is always a new challenge. Save your generated favorite tracks to use in custom races!
Take part in ‘special’ races: Drive a huge car and do maximum damage. Finish a race with the throttle stuck to 100%. Assassinate targets watching on the side of the track. All this madness and more!
Arm your bikes: Enjoy the spectator splashing the pedestrian cannon! Let your rivals explode with the shrubby homing hedge! A variety of deadly weapons await in specific races and in combat mode
Compete with friends and rivals: Race and fight against up to three friends in local multiplayer for maximum fun and mayhem! Prove your driving skills and secure a place in the leaderboards!
Playing as a pedestrian: Take a break from driving and take your camera to the track. Find the perfect place to take photos and get up close to the action! Just try to avoid getting roadkill …
