During this year’s Minecraft Live broadcast, Mojang revealed its next major update to the ever-growing sandbox, crafting, and survival game.

It’s called “The Wild Update” and it will bring new gameplay, more depth and “lots of fun” to the game. There’s mud, mangrove swamps, different types of frogs and tadpoles, and even boats with chests in them!

This update now also includes Deep Dark and Warden – and because this next update has so much content, it won’t arrive until 2022.

The second part of the Caves & Cliffs update will arrive in a month or two, according to the game’s developers. This update will expand worlds from top to bottom.
