As you may have seen, pre-orders for the Nintendo 64 Switch Wireless Controllers are popping up in different areas, giving us retro-minds a pretty fun way to try out the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass titles when they hit on April 25/26. October. You do need to have a standard NSO subscription to buy it, however, which is quirky considering that the standard subscription doesn’t get you the N64 games, but … let us continue.
We already know of various additional buttons and indicators that make it compatible with the Switch, but a fun detail in the product description also confirms the rumble. This writer had assumed it would, which was probably silly, but it definitely was is one feature.

For those of you who have never owned a Nintendo 64 before, the Rumble Pak was one epiphany at the time, although as an early technique it was also quite a cumbersome and bulky clipping process to the controller. It would get carried away at times too, so let’s hope it’s authentically malicious in the new controllers (it probably won’t be).
So there you have it, all the delights of a Rumble Pak but without the Pak – what a time to be alive.
