Starward Industries has postponed its “Single-Player-Sci-Fi-Retro-Future-Thriller” The invincible from the original 2021 release window. The game will now be released sometime next year. The good news, however, is that a new trailer gives a first glimpse into The invincible in action when Dr. Yasna tries to escape a strange planet called Regis III.
The invincible is based on the novel of the same name by Stainslaw Lem. Set in an alternative retro-future timeline, The invincible puts players in Dr. Yasna, a scientist participating in an interstellar scientific expedition. When the crew of their spaceship go missing, they must use advanced analog space equipment to find them while avoiding the many dangers of the planet. The trailer shows Yasna communicating with her astrogator Novik while climbing a rock wall against his advice for a better view. While she finds the person he is looking for, he is not very happy to see her …
Yasna’s journey will have multiple paths and, consequently, multiple endings. Your choices will affect their relationships, while Yasna’s powers of persuasion are sure to get you out of some difficult situations. You can even help her out with the events that take place after the trailer. While the astrogator can guide Yasna, he is quite far away and only she will bear the consequences of her decisions.
While the technology in The invincible is quite advanced, it’s an alternate reality where the digital age has not yet happened. The result is a multitude of analog devices that can aid her in her mission. One of those items seen in the trailer was a scanning device capable of detecting enemies, although apparently not early enough. Despite this analogue reality, humanity has managed to spread far and wide across the galaxy, and things go wrong while exploring Regis III. Players can try their hand at the equipment themselves next year The invincible to appear on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S and PC in 2022.[Source: Starward Industries]
