Deathloop Game Update 1 adds HDR calibration and fixes trophy issues

Death loop received its first major game update. With the imaginative title Game Update 1, it adds an HDR calibration to the PlayStation 5 version and fixes issues with unlocking some trophies and a rare instance that could crash the game.

The patch, which is around 5GB in size, also adds an on-screen bad connection indicator, improves camera smoothness, tweaks some of the NPC behaviors, and adds a host of other gameplay tweaks. You can check out the patch highlights below:

  • Added HDR calibration screen to UI options
  • Improved performance and stability with activated ray tracing
  • Improved NPC paths and reactions to the player
  • A poor connection quality indicator has been added to the top right of the screen (similar to a speedometer with an exclamation mark)
  • The content of the PS5 activities and game help systems has been improved
  • Improved vibrations on the DualSense controller
  • Improved audio mix quality
  • Fixed the behavior of laser mines, turrets, and fireworks for Colt and Julianna players
  • Fixed problem with unlocking trophies “Ups” and “Deathday Suit”
  • Fixed an issue that could cause Colt’s progress to reset even if the player chose “No” on confirmation
  • Fixed a crash issue when a player unlocks a talent with Havoc while playing as Julianna
  • Aleksis Dorsey’s reactions have been fixed so that he is easier to identify among his party guests
  • Fixed an issue that caused assassinations to sometimes slip while playing as Julianna
  • Julianna’s actions win trophies for Colt. no longer directly free
  • Julianna players will no longer hear radio calls that are only for Colt. are determined
  • Fixed problem with inclination inconsistency (entries are no longer sporadically ignored)

Death loop has received a lot of critical acclaim since its release last month, including our Editor’s Choice award. It topped the UK sales charts the first week of release and topped the PlayStation Store download charts in September. Developed by Arkane Lyon, which is now part of Microsoft, Death loop is a console exclusively for PlayStation 5 until at least September next year.
