Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Director Confirms Casting of Adam Warlock

James Gunns Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 explored Peter Quill’s relationship with his father ego. A new potential character, Adam Warlock, a powerful godly warrior, is teased at the end of the movie, and now we know who will play her. What he will bring into the third chapter remains to be seen, but we know that now Midsummer Actor Will Poulter has been cast for the upcoming role. Gunn confirmed the decision himself.

In a short Twitter post (see above), James excitedly welcomed Gunn Poulter to the GOTG team. Poulter replied, “Thank you, James. It is a real honor to play this role and to work with you. With the recent release of Gunn’s The suicide squad, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is likely still in the early stages of production.

Historically, Adam Warlock’s great power has benefited many heroic super teams, including the Guardians. However, his less-than-lovable parallel personality Magus poses a significant threat to the universe. Adam is often at the mercy of his two conflicting selves, leading to some interesting developments in the Marvel comics. In any case, the Guardians have their work to do in the next film.

Similarly, the video game Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy from Eidos Montreal launches later this month. You play Peter Quill and make important decision-based decisions in conversations with funny NPCs like Lady Hellbender and Cosmo the Spacedog, while you lead your weird team to victory in bombastic action sequences. The studio recently revealed the 1980s tracklist promoting classics like Tears for Fears’ “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” and Rick Astley’s meme-y “Never Gonna Give You Up”. We may also come across Adam Warlock while exploring the vastness of the universe.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy (the game) is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on October 26th.
