Rockstar Games announced Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition today with remasters of GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas. The company also announced that commemorative gear will be added to Grand Theft Auto Online to celebrate GTA 3’s 20th anniversary this fall.
Rockstar says players will be able to earn and purchase special equipment, such as commemorative clothing and paint, during the upcoming events coming to GTA Online this fall.
“We will announce more details about this in the coming weeks as part of our ongoing events in GTA Online,” said a press release from Rockstar. “This month’s GTA Online events will have some special surprises in store – including the possibility of unusual activity occurring in and around Southern San Andreas.”
It seems that Rockstar will start distributing the classic GTA fun through GTA Online before The Definitive Edition is released on modern consoles and PCs.
Elsewhere in today’s GTA Online news, Rockstar hinted at what’s coming later that year.
“And later this year, get ready for an exciting new adventure in GTA Online as some well-known contacts and friends need your help building their ‘legitimate business’ – with many more surprises to be revealed soon.”
