It was probably one of the best weeks of the year in Nintendo’s land. the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Director Masahiro Sakurai revealed that Sora would be the last fighter, Rockstar announced the GTA trilogy for the platform, Nintendo launched its new “OLED model” and after an incredibly long wait, Samus has returned original Metroid Series.
Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser is known to be a pretty big fan of the company’s classic series, and it doesn’t seem any different with Metroid. Over on social media, he shared a picture of his brand new Nintendo Switch OLED along with a copy of Samus’ latest outing. Metroid horror – wish everyone “Terrifying” Day!
The celebrations obviously didn’t stop there. Nintendo’s New York store also held its own event to celebrate the return of Samus. Here are some of the photos from the event, showing the many OLED purchases from the Metroid Dread and Switch:
Earlier this week, Doug also joined the social media hashtag #ThankYouSakurai after the Kingdom Hearts character, Sora, was revealed. Here is his tweet recognizing that special moment Super Smash Bros. Story:
