Nintendo’s Switch-exclusive Metroid Dread is already emulated on the PC

Metroid horror

Exclusively for the Switch Metroid horror is the game of the moment, but it seems some people aren’t even playing this new version on Nintendo’s hardware. As highlighted by the folks at PC Gamer, certain people are already running this title on the open source switch emulators Yuzu and Ryujinx – increasing the resolution to 4K and unlocking the frame rate.

A YouTube channel uploaded a 10-minute video about the performance test of the Yuzu emulator (which we won’t share here) – presented by Dread on a PC with 6 GB GTX 1060, an Intel Core i5-8400 processor and 16 GB DDR4 RAM.

As stunning as this title looks admittedly on PC, for Nintendo it’s probably rather worrying that this happened in just a few days (You may want to review your anti-piracy measures). Of course, if you want to show your support for the new release from Samus, this is the best way to get a copy of the Metroid Dread for Switch.
