Fortnites back with a new season. When players downloaded the patch for Chapter 2, Season Eight, they were greeted by new additions to the game designed to spice up the gameplay.
There is a lot to discover in Fortnites new season, from new mechanics to weapons and locations. When crafting was first introduced to the game, it wasn’t as appealing to most players as the crafting options were limited. But it looks like Epic Games is about to spin it has become a stable feature of the game as it has added new weapons to the crafting system along with new crafting material.
With the new patch, Epic has added new weapons called Sideways Weapons, which are significantly more powerful than normal alternatives that you can find on the map. These weapons can be obtained by looting Sideways Zones. You may also want to complete a Sideways encounter since you’re already there.
If you shoot and loot in one of these zones, you will also have the chance to find Cube Monster Parts, the new looting material that players can use to upgrade their sidearms.
The upgrade can be done via the usual crafting menu, which can be accessed by pressing up on your D-pad. This will open your inventory and you will have to switch to the crafting tab from there.
PC players need to open their inventory with their assigned hotkey to find the crafting tab. The menu items should guide you through the process when you have enough crafting items.
To make other items, you will need to collect the crafting materials you need, such as nuts and bolts. Before you start making a weapon make sure you have enough cover as there will be a little animation. You should do this process in a building or box that you can build yourself using materials.
If the trend continues, Epic will likely add more to the game’s crafting area, which could affect the way you get loot and prioritize goals on the map.
