Originally published in 2016, Kathy Rain ($ 2.99) from Clifftop Games and Raw Fury receives an expanded version in the form of Kathy Rain: Director’s Cut Later that month. Kathy Rain: Director’s Cut is released on iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms. Kathy Rain: Director’s Cut follows a journalist investigating her grandfather’s death and is set in the 1990s. This extended version, which looks more like a remake when you look at the amount of features added or improved, includes an extended storyline, more than 700 lines of new spoken dialogue with the original voice actors, widescreen support, new areas and puzzles, full Controller support, and more. It will also include a Brazilian Portuguese translation, with more languages to follow. Watch them Kathy Rain: Director’s Cut Trailer below:
The above trailer was commented on by Arielle Siegel, who speaks to Kathy. Kathy Rain: Director’s Cut will also have a more satisfactory ending, according to the developers. Apart from these functions, Kathy Rain: Director’s Cut features death sequences and motorcycle skins to personalize the look of Kathy’s bike. A price point is currently not known. I’m curious how it compares to the original on modern iOS and iPadOS devices. Read our original review of Kathy Rain. Visit the Kathy Rain: Director’s Cut Steam page here for more screenshots.
