While Bungie continues to maintain bulk Fate 2 trimmed with carefully curated content, lots of Exit Destiny 2, as well as the seasonal updates from year 4 in the Destiny Content Vault (DCV). the Exit Destiny 2 Campaign will vault on February 22nd, 2022 when The witch queen starts, but will be made available free of charge to all players in December before that.
The DCV allows Bungie to naturally fade content in and out of the game to keep things curated, not just in terms of the game’s file size, but also for patches, updates, and future content development. Having an endless list of activities and goals poses an impossible challenge to balance the game and the economy, and to dilute the player pools down to too many different things. Before, Destiny 2 The launch campaign and year 1 expansions have been added to the DCV along with a number of objectives for the game. Bungie says the DCV offers “technical freedom” that they wouldn’t otherwise have, and year 4 activity was a direct result of that. It also enables things as simple as the speed of your inventory.
Now a large portion Abandoned is on the way to the vault to make room The witch queen and contents of the 5th Abandoned, originally launched in 2018, was considered one of Destiny’s best expansions of all time, in which the popular Cayde-6 voiced by Nathan Fillion was killed as a stimulating event.
What will be vaulted in 2022?
Here are the most important contents that will be included in the DCV on February 22, 2022, as well as some exceptions:
- Abandoned campaign
- Goal of the Tangled Shore
- the Destination of the dreaming city, also introduced in Abandoned, will stay in the game
- This includes the Last wish raid, which will not be arched at this point
- The guardian of the nothing strike remains in play
- Spider’s money exchange goes to Master Rahool in the tower
- Seasonal content from year 4
- Seasonal activities introduced in Season of the Hunt, Season of the Chosen, Season of the Splicer, and Season of the Lost will all be discontinued.
- The exception are battlefields, which are introduced in Strikes with a new playlist “Vanguard Operations”.
- The exotic missions Presage and Harbinger go to the vault
Bungie says the vaulting of all of this content leaves plenty of room to bring a full year of new content and changes to the game, starting with The witch queen and its currently unnamed starting season:
By stepping on this content we can release the expansion The Witch Queen and her new destination Throne World, as well as new features like weapon crafting, the new campaign option Legendary, the new weapon archetype Glaive and all the additional content we have planned for the four new seasons from February.
Bungie notes that in addition to the brand new content that comes with The witch queen and the Season 5 Seasonal Updates, “a carefully curated selection of content from the DCV, including a classic raid, two PVP cards from Fate 2, and a classic PVP card from the original Destiny. “
Before the Abandoned If content is vaulted, Bungie will make the campaign free to all players starting December 7, 2021. It will remain free for everyone, including free-to-play players, until it is vaulted in February 2022.
However, players will still have to pay for the Last Wish Raid, which will remain in-game as part of the paid “Forsaken Pack”. This package “included”[s] Access to the Last Wish Raid and the Shattered Throne Dungeon, as well as access to all Forsaken Exotics. ”If you already own Abandoned, you will automatically receive the Forsaken Package when this transition occurs on December 7th.
Bungie will reveal more details in the coming months, but if you haven’t played Forsaken, this campaign should be battled through when it goes free later this year. The DCV has encountered some controversy and rejection, but Bungie has previously determined that decisions about the DCV are made based on the numbers and what is in the best interests of the overall health of the game. As more and more live aspects of the game actively advance the story and state of the world, few people return to play the older campaigns or revisit old destinations. The only area Bungie seems to have to work on is better story recap to bring new players into the current state of the world.
the Abandoned The campaign will be free for all players from December 7th, 2021 Fate 2 and switches to the content vault, with additional content spun out if The witch queen will be released on February 22, 2022.[Source: Bungie]
