Based on feedback from players who took part in the second phase of the closed beta test on PS4 and PC last month, developer PlatinumGames Babylons autumn graphical improvements for visibility and clarity. Players on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 can try these out for themselves in the third phase of the closed beta, which will take place next month.
During the first two phases of closed beta testing, gamers complained about poor visibility due to the “classic fantasy oil painting aesthetic” the developer used for the game’s graphics. Based on this feedback, the team has now improved the “overall visual clarity” so that the background still looks like an oil painting, but details in the foreground such as clothing patterns or the wood grain in the floorboards are now much clearer.
Other improvements include tweaks to make gameplay feel more responsive and exciting. Aspects of Babylon’s fall The team has adjusted the attack speed, combat moves, combos, and unique actions for each weapon. A new video shows some of the changes to sword actions.
Publisher Square Enix has announced the next phase of beta with phase 3, which will take place on PC, PS4 and PS5. In contrast to the previous phases, the test takes place in all three regions at the same time. The test begins on November 15 at 1 a.m. PST and ends on November 17 at 1 a.m. PST. This time the closed beta will offer crossplay between the three platforms and players can accept six different quests.
Applications for participation in the Babylon’s fall Closed beta has reopened. Players now have until October 28 at 6:59 p.m. PST to apply for any of the three platforms. Players must reside in Japan, the US, Canada, Brazil, the UK, France or Germany and be over 17 years of age to participate.
